Description
The school started on 9th May, 1981 as a small enterprise with just 250 students and 8 teachers headed by Principal, Ms. Adarsh Kohli in a rented building. Today, it is a thriving institution with more than 4300 students, a staff of 250 and commands great respect in the knowledge society.
The school has been progressing steadily and has won many accolades over the years. It became an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution in the year 2003, received the Commendation Certificate from the prestigious IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in 2011, and was ranked amongst the top 10 schools of north Delhi by Hindustan Times C-fore in 2011. DLDAV is proud to be amongst the first few schools in Delhi-NCR to have been awarded a CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION FROM CBSE which authenticates that it has met the prescribed quality standards pre-set by CBSE. It has been granted permanent affiliation by CBSE. It was also affiliated with CBSE-i and offered this new academic program parallel to the regular CBSE Course. Also, the prestigious International School Award has been conferred upon our school by British Council twice. The ISA Award is accreditation for schools having an outstanding level for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning.
