DAV Public School, ECL, Jhanjra is a joint venture between the Eastern Coalfields Limited and DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi with a mission to impart quality education to the wards of the ECL employees and the local gentry. The school building is set up in an area of about 5 acres of land with 24 classrooms, one well-equipped library, separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and ICT and other modern amenities. Dr. Inderjit Singh, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India inaugurated the school building on 22 June 2018 in presence of other dignitaries from Coal India, ECL and BCCL, the management of ECL, Jhanjra Area, staff and students of the school.
